Concorde’s Insurance Coding and Billing program will give you the training you need to become an Insurance Coding & Billing Specialist. In your position as an Insurance Coding & Billing Specialist, you play an integral role in your employer's office. You help make it possible for your employer to collect monetary reimbursements from patient insurance providers.
After your training is complete, you will be able to assess patient records and classify levels of claims for reimbursement using detailed healthcare coding systems. Your work is essential to the success of your employer's medical business.

Concorde’s Medical Administrative Assistant program prepares you to be an integral member of the healthcare team. We’ll help you develop organizational skills and a clear understanding of medical and insurance coding terminology to keep your workplace running efficiently. You will be trained in basic CPR, but will mainly function in an administrative environment performing duties such as transcription, billing, and word processing. You will also be trained to use medical computer applications to manage patient records.

Concorde’s Medical Assisting program is designed to help you become an integral part of the healthcare delivery team. Graduates of the program are eligible to sit for the Certified Medical Assistant Examination (CMA) administered by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA). At Concorde you will receive “multi-tasked” training, which means you will be trained and qualified in both clinical and administrative capabilities.
Administrative skills and responsibilities include scheduling and receiving patients, preparing and maintaining medical records, performing basic secretarial skills and medical transcription, handling telephone calls and written correspondence, serving as a liaison between physicians and other individuals, and managing practice finances.
Clinical responsibilities include taking patient histories and vital signs, performing first aid and CPR, preparing patients for procedures, assisting the physician with examinations and treatments, infection control, collecting and processing specimens, performing selected diagnostic tests, and preparing and administering medications as directed by the physician.

Concorde’s Patient Care program provides training to work closely with doctors and other medical professionals in administering therapeutic programs and monitoring the condition of patients.
You will be trained to carry out responsibilities that will include monitoring patients for changes in condition and recording and reporting those changes, setting up and operating therapeutic equipment, instructing and supervising patients about rehabilitative therapy, helping to carry out planned patient care programs, and assisting medical staff in changing dressings and conducting patient examinations.

Concorde’s Pharmacy Technician program provides training to know how to fill prescriptions in a variety of medical environments including hospitals, medical clinics and retail and institutional pharmacies. After completion of the program, you will be proficient in performing pharmaceutical stock keeping, delivery, technical assistance, and clerical duties.
Examples of duties you will perform as a Pharmacy Technician are: assisting pharmacists in filling prescriptions; assisting pharmacists in preparing drugs for unit-dose delivery; reconstituting sterile medications; preparing intravenous (IV) admixtures for patient administration; preparing IV chemotherapy drugs; entering prescriptions into a computer to obtain labels; ensuring information, such as drug generic name, expiration date, and lot number are properly recorded on labels and log records for repackaged drugs, reviewing stock orders and replenishing supplies, and conducting physical inventories.

Concorde’s Respiratory Therapy program provides training to deal with one of the most critical life-sustaining functions of the human body—breathing. You will be trained to deal with life and death issues on a daily basis. Completion of this program will prepare you to conduct diagnostic testing procedures and administer treatments to improve patients' breathing, as well as implement and monitor life support equipment.
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of cardio-pulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities, and use sophisticated equipment to measure lung function and monitor heart functions. You might treat newborns, trauma victims, drowning victims, and patients suffering from asthma, bronchitis, coronary heart disease, emphysema, and pneumonia.

Concorde’s Surgical Technology program will prepare you to be an entry-level Surgical Technologist. We will prepare you to perform essential tasks before, during and after operations. You will have the skills to work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses and other key surgical personnel in hospital operating rooms and outpatient surgery centers. Surgical Technologists play a critical role in surgical patient care.
There are three major roles for entry-level surgical technologists: scrub, circulating assistant and second assisting. Scrub, circulating assistant and second assisting surgical technologists have primary responsibilities in maintaining the sterile field, and being constantly vigilant that all members of the team adhere to proper technique. Concorde will give you the training you need to excel in all of these roles.
The scrub surgical technologist in the scrub role handles instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. They maintain a sterile environment and anticipate the needs of the surgeon. The surgical technologist in the circulating assistant role obtains additional instruments, supplies, and equipment while the surgical procedure is in progress. They also monitor operating room conditions and assess the needs of the surgical team in order to provide safe patient care. The surgical technologist in the second assisting role assists the surgeon and / or surgeon's first assistant during the operative procedure by carrying out technical tasks other than cutting, clamping, or suturing of tissue. The second assisting role is distinct from surgeon's first assistant and may be performed at the same time as the scrub role.
